Checklist before baby is born

Checklist before baby is born
Preparing for the arrival of a new baby can be overwhelming, but having a checklist can help ensure that you have everything you need.
Here are some essential items to consider adding to your pre-baby checklist:
  1. Baby clothes: Newborns grow quickly, so it’s important to have a range of sizes, from newborn to 3 months. Also, make sure to have plenty of onesies, sleepers, and socks.

  2. Diapers and wipes: Stock up on diapers and wipes before your baby arrives, as you will need plenty of them.

  3. Baby gear: This includes items such as a car seat, stroller, baby carrier, bassinet, and baby swing. Make sure to install the car seat before the baby arrives.

  4. Nursery items: This includes a crib, mattress, sheets, and blankets. Make sure to set up the crib and wash the sheets before the baby arrives.

  5. Feeding supplies: This includes bottles, nipples, formula (if you plan to bottle-feed), breast pump (if you plan to breastfeed), nursing pads, and nursing bras.

  6. Personal care items: This includes baby shampoo, lotion, diaper rash cream, and a baby thermometer.

  7. Essential documents: Make sure to have your baby’s birth certificate, social security card, and any necessary insurance information.

  8. Prepare for postpartum recovery: Stock up on pads, pain relief medication, nursing pads, and other items you may need for postpartum recovery.

  9. Arrange for help: Consider arranging for help from family, friends, or a postpartum doula to help you during the first few weeks after your baby is born.
